It's harder than it seems at first and I've really struggled with a few stages, but it's so much fun, I've even gone back and replayed some stages that I really enjoyed. Some of them are cheesy, but all of them are entertaining and one is even a bit of a tear-jerker. I bought this game with hesitations, but to my suprise, it's my favorite game so far. The comic book style story telling on the top screen can be a bit distracting, but once you've finished with the stage, you can "replay" it and then really watch the story line. All in all, you should give this game a try if you enjoy rhythm based games. It's quite addictive and the music is overall pretty good. Some of the title songs are not sung by the original artist, but that doesn't affect game play at all.
It's kind of like DDR for the DS or Parappa the Rappa (does anyone remember this game for PS1.). I played this game for hours and didn't even notice how time was flying. Then I played the first two songs and was wondering what all the fuss was about. You can select a song and get right to the tapping. I bought this game based on its glowing reviews but didn't play it until I had beaten a bunch of other games.
Perfect for those long plane rides (best to use headphones though). I highly recommend this game. :) You can't skip the happy ending if you pass the song but you can skip the bad ending and try again. Some of the last songs of the levels are somewhat difficult and took many many trials to beat them but I never got frustrated with this game. This game didn't come out of my DS for over a month; until I beat all four levels. There is a wide variety of music in this game from Madonna to Village People to Good Charlotte. As I continued on, I got better at the timing and before I noticed it, I was hooked. I found myself going back to try to improve my grade on the songs.
I finally put it in on a whim and did the little intro. There are bonus levels to unlock and you go up in rank as you accumulate points. because you'll be landing before you know it. only you tap instead of dance or hit buttons. I like that you can skip a bunch of the "junk" (although some people probably found it entertaining).
I, personally, brought this game to the laundry mat with me to keep me occupied while waiting for my wash. This game says 10 and up, but I think you could go a little young, depending on how good the recipient (or yourself) are good at playing rhythm games like this. You hit the numbered bubble on the 'beat' and score points. Songs are timed well enough for you to play this during a short train ride or a long one. When you complete all 15 rounds, you move up to the next 'level' and play the songs over again, only this time there more difficult.
Elite Beat Agents is a really enjoyable game and perfect for anyone who likes video games that deal with music (such as Guitar Hero, Rock Band, etc). A good stocking stuffer or addition for the kid who is just getting his DS. With the DS, you can easily carry this game around with you to have for any moments of 'downtime' you find during the day. The jist of the game is this: A song starts playing on the bottom of the DS screen.
There are a total of 3 levels you can go through, making this game fun for a long time.Elite Beat Agents has many popular songs to play along to, including things from these artist: Queen, Avril, The Village People, Madonna, Hoobastank, the Rolling Stones, and many more. Enjoy the game. Numbered bubbles start popping up. There's more to it, but it really is almost that simple.
so it is a very good multiplayer game. this game was really cool. it really is worth it at such low price.after your done tho, you prolly wont want to play again xcept on wifi, which is awesome because your friend(s) dont need the game to play, and up to four can go with just one card.
i was lucky to get it back. but it is a lot of fun. i took it on vacation and my sister became addicted to it. i love this game. now i'm just waiting for eba2. when i hear sk8tr boi, i want to hear avril. the songs aren't originals, and that's the only bad part. simple as that.
